News from Cornwall Council
Pat sends all relevant information received from Cornwall Council
Disability Magazine
New Winter Edition available. Copies circulated at meeting
All agreed Halls should add a few words about their halls for the minutes
Menheniot Parish Hall
Regular bookings remain constant however bookings requiring a bar are far fewer over the last 2 years. Some income was lost this year as an inverter on our solar panels had stopped working. This has now been replaced
Plans have been drawn up for an extension to increase storage space. Costs were put at £54,000 to £60,000. We have to raise 40% ourselves but at present the Old School in the village is busy raising £60,000 for a new roof so our plans are low key at the moment
Trewidland Village Hall
Roof repairs have been carried out to our leaky roof. We have had ½ of it replaced and we have had a new kitchen installed thanks to Trewidland Solar Fund Money held by Dobwalls and Trewidland Parish Council. We can now repair the ceiling and paint the main hall
Regular hirers are the Post Office, Keltic Dog Training, Wednesday Dog Training, Ju Jitsu and Tai Chi and any events organised by Trewidland Community Group
8. Open Forum – The Way Forward for 2020
All agreed sharing news and meeting up was very useful and we should try 2 meetings per year
Jean M volunteered Harrowbarrow & Metherell Village Hall for June 2020
Date to be arranged
9. Refreshments
Tea, Coffee & Cake was served
There being no other business Pat thanked all who attended and closed the meeting at 4.pm
